Donna M. Ashton is a founding member of AMPS Law, where she specializes in the representation of large and small property management firms and real estate owners in all of their landlord-tenant related matters including, but not limited to, the development of properties, leasing, and eviction actions.
After graduating from Suffolk University Law School in 1996, Ms. Ashton was in civil practice and subsequently worked as an Assistant District Attorney in the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office, where she prosecuted hundreds of misdemeanor and felony cases in the District and Superior Courts. In 2002, she joined the law firm of Cohen & Fierman in downtown Boston, focusing on landlord tenant related matters, and opened her own practice in 2008.
Attorney Ashton is a faculty member of the National Institute for Trial Advocacy (NITA), a presenter at Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education’s Mock Trial for Housing Court, the instructor for the legal section of Boston’s Rental Housing Authority’s Certified Apartment Manager Course, and local/Massachusetts counsel for the National Apartment Association (NAA).
